"The Electronic Case Management System (ECM) could not have come at a more critical time. Implemented before the pandemic, ECM empowered WINGS staff to serve clients both in-person and virtually. ECM has handled increases in client data and new programming reliably and seamlessly.”"
Thierer Family Foundation worked with WINGS to implement a Case Management system to improve the accuracy of their data and efficiency of their staff.
The WINGS staff hand-write notes, then manually enter the data into a custom-made database that was created over 15 years ago. This two-step process takes staff a total of 505 hours each month, time that could be spent with clients. In addition, WINGS faces reporting obstacles for funders, with the constant concern that data outputs are inaccurate and incomplete.
Thierer Family Foundation enabled WINGS to implement a cloudbased Case Management system that will allow them to enter data and case notes directly into a tablet. This eliminates the need to hand-write notes and then enter them into the system, and assures more accurate data
The elimination of the dual step data process frees up staff to focus on their client’s needs and increases the integrity of the data significantly. This system gives staff a 360-degree view of the client, decreasing intake time, easing the development of case plans, and service tracking. It also provides more accurate assessments and produces outcome data that can be shared with funders and donors.
