Increasing capability to serve more young people in need

Thierer Family Foundation worked with Ignite to help them adapt for expansion through a comprehensive case management system that increased their capability to serve more young people in need.

Challenges

Ignite’s current database lacked the infrastructure to meet their expansion needs. As a result, staff devoted an inordinate amount of time to data entry. In addition, they used antiquated spreadsheets and remote paper files which failed to capture the scope of activities or determine outcomes. With a different system, staff time and energy could better spent helping young people build better futures.

How We Helped

Thierer Family Foundation partnered with Ignite to implement a customized digital platform with comprehensive case management software to adapt for this expansion by improving communication, organization and accessibility. By tracking, measuring and reporting on their impact, Ignite is now able to better serve their youth community and drive positive outcomes.

Outcomes

This new system has enabled better reporting and agency evaluation. It has significantly decreased the time and energy Ignite’s program staff are spending entering data, and instead has allow them to spend more time working with young people to build their promising futures. By more accurately determining their impact and agency outcomes, Ignite can build more and better partnerships with funders, donors, and other stakeholders. Youth’s accessibility through the mobile app will bolster their electronic literacy, while empowering them to take ownership of their situations, as well as contact Ignite if they need help to remain stable.
