Streamline requests for clothing and essentials

Thierer Family Foundation helped Cradles to Crayons overhaul their Partner Portal to make it easier for partners to order and pick-up clothing and other essential items.

Challenges

Cradles to Crayons relies on a Partner Portal to receive service requests from their agencies. Unfortunately, the current portal is outdated, making for a less-than-optimal user experience. Feedback from users indicates that the portal is not user- friendly, time-consuming, and a major obstacle in accessing the services. As a result, the team is forced to implement workarounds, adding to their workload. More importantly, this system is hindering their ability to provide for the children who need their services.

How We Helped

The Thierer Family Foundation has enabled Cradles to Crayons to revamp their Partner Portal, allowing them to provide more comprehensive support to each child they serve and increase the number of children served each year through their existing partners.

Outcomes

Cradles to Crayons has been able to improve their request process by tracking more data points about their recipients. This has resulted in a more seamless experience for their partners and the ability to serve more children with the necessary items. The agency partners have benefited from a better user experience which has reduced the time it takes to request items for the children they serve. As a result, the children and families are able to access the critical items they need to thrive with greater ease.
