Introducing our 2018 Grantees

Introducing our 2018 Grantees

At the beginning of 2018, the Thierer Family Foundation committed to help nonprofit organizations increase their impact by helping them leverage technology to be more effective, efficient and sustainable. We kicked off our first round of Impact Project Grants and selected five incredible grantees with technology projects that we felt would have a significant impact on those organizations and the audiences they serve.

These grantees and their projects embodied everything we look for in a project and a partner. Each project selected is impactful, strategic, and sustainable. Each grantee organization is innovative and driven by a mission to improve the lives of underserved populations in Chicago. We are so excited to work these incredible organizations and help them leverage technology to improve their ability to achieve their missions.

We strongly believe in our grantees and the important work that they are doing. We hope that you will consider joining us in supporting them by making a contribution to one or more of these very worthy organizations.

About the Online Market:

The Online Market is an online ordering system that will revolutionize the way Lakeview Pantry serves their clients by creating a simpler, more dignified process for receiving food. The Online Market system would allow clients to place orders for food distribution through an online system, enabling Lakeview Pantry to expand the number of clients it can serve and to better support working families who may not be able to make the normal distribution times or be able to afford the time required to receive services within the current model.
